Trifextra: Week Eighty-four: Glories

(Photo credit: National Library of Ireland on The Commons)

Witness mind

a tether down:

heavy head,

beautiful crown –

filled to the loft

with darkest fears,

shadows of hatred

muddled with tears,

vengeful thoughts

driven by pride;

nobody knows what

glories they hide.

This post was prompted by the Trifecta writing challenge: Trifextra, week eighty-four.
