I was just going to mention that before I read this bit!
I like it. It displays the featured image at the top of the post, yes? I noticed your post layout changed in that regard a little bit. It really enhances the look of photographs and images; on the downside, if there is a lot of white space, it doesn’t look quite as engaging. So, I do recommend that you put in more photographs– either from yourself, or by way of Zemanta, because this theme really does have a strength there in that regard.
That’s actually my weakness because I have a standard set of images I’ve been using with the old theme for specific posts, but moving forward I have to keep telling myself to use something that actually fills the space rather than the little images I’ve been using, and then I wonder whether I should use the featured image for the image and leave it out of the body – especially where the haiku are concerned.
Yeah, that makes sense. With most themes, the featured image doesn’t actually appear in the main post at all, but will appear in summary/archive sections, or will show for the feed readers. As your theme handles it differently, sure, that’d be a consideration.
