Haiku: Mask IV – Eclipse

The face beneath found,
emblems of the past are left
to the sands of time.

  1. Good morning, Rob ! =) How nice to read your haiku in the mornings, foxling by my side. =) She really loves this one… as an ancient history buff, she says she can relate, and wonders who this is… thanks for the food for thought and always being creative. =) Have a lovely day !

    • Good morning Tish et foxling! I love my ancient history as well, but I have to admit I didn’t even try to find out where this mask is from before pulling it; it turns out that this is a stone sculpture mask on display at the Anahuacalli Museum in Mexico City. May you both have a lovely day as well. 🙂
