There’s something for everyone here, folks. 😉
What a day, getting up late, starting a new pair of fingerless mitts after finally finishing the pair I started over a year ago —
Then I finally got all my knitting stuff unpacked and put in the right places, futher de-cluttering my office. It’s a fairly easy day so far, but I haven’t exercised yet, and I haven’t eaten.
Gotta do something about that.
New theme, Rob? It looks snazzy.
Also, I didn’t know you knitted. The gloves look cool.
Thank you thank you. 🙂
Yeah, I’ve been knitting for a couple years now, though I dried out a little over the past year from too much working and not enough spare time. I sort of sacrificed it for blogging but I’ve been itching to get back. It’s interesting to note that I knit, and Mme. Ross crochets.
I never learned how to knit, but I did learn a bit of crochet. Kudos.
I did learn to crochet stuff, and I even made a couple of items, but when I made an attempt to start something a couple weeks ago, I was back to this issue I had before where somehow the cloth kept getting smaller with each row.
Well well well! Done that is —- finally! so the fingerless gloves took too much time – eh – it happens. I think it’s called something like Knit-I-PTissed (the P is silent) – but you know – you stuff something aside because you get busy or bored with the project or whatever and it pisses you off – and then – finally —-> Yay! A finished set!
I’m glad that you’ve managed to further sort out some things from the unpacking end and set yourself up more comfortably! good stuff — and I hope you find more time to sneak in a row or 2 to ease the stress, tension and well — to knit way cool stuff!
I’ve already started a new pair — one that will match more closely (except the color since I’m using Kroy Socks in red marl). With the ones pictured, the left one has two plain bind offs which is a bit stiff at the base of the fingers, and a fakey cable thing that didn’t work out because I couldn’t figure out yarn overs because I think I knit differently from everyone in the video. I finally nailed it when I learned the stretchy bind offs I used on the right one (which also has a true twisted cable at the wrist.)
Well every experience presents new learning curves – at least you figured things out on the 2nd one! so kudos to you – and I’m glad that you have some time to work on another pair – I’m sure they will be fabulous! 🙂
Fingers crossed! 😀
Hmm I hope the bubbles were not caused by bottom burps 🙂 lol
Love the gloves, LOVE them! I think with your gloves and Patricia’s socks I could conquer the world lol
Would you conquer it with sass? Now that would be class. 😉
Me! Sass! Never………and I do LOVE the gloves, I want a pair for Christmas lol
I’ll see if I can swing that for you 😉
