Trials

I.
The circuitous
route from my heart to yours is
this labyrinthine maze;

II.
No words can describe
the weight, the depth, the breadth — like
reckless breath and gaze.

III.
All words imperfect,
thoughts are mere formulation
corrupting the pure:

IV.
love. It must burn you —
test you — Before you can be
absolutely sure.

Was it heart, or labrinythine?
Circuitous; I picked it up from a haiku posted on Twitter, after commenting to the author how it was fit as a four-syllable word, whereas many people might fit it as three. Then I found the word rolling around in my head and not too long after these haiku had popped right out!
